Indore (Madhya Pradesh): The alertness and swift action of two traffic police constables led to the capture of two mobile snatchers red-handed on Friday. The incident occurred at Pipliyahana Square, where the constables were on duty managing traffic.
According to a traffic police officer, Constable Bhagwat Singh Yadav was controlling traffic at Pipliyahana Square when a passerby, Laxman Kanodiya, approached him for help. Kanodiya reported that some youths riding a motorcycle had snatched his mobile phone while he was walking on the road and tried to escape.
Without hesitation, Constable Bhagwat Singh immediately pursued the accused on his motorcycle. He also alerted his colleague, Constable Ranjit Ninama, who was posted at Agriculture College Square. Together, the two constables chased the suspects and successfully apprehended two of them along with their motorcycle. The other two youths jumped off the bike and fled the scene.
During questioning, the arrested accused identified themselves as Shahrukh and Tausif. They were subsequently handed over to the Tilak Nagar Police for further investigation.
The police officer commended the quick response of Constables Bhagwat Singh Yadav and Ranjit Ninama, noting that their vigilance helped foil the mobile snatching attempt and ensured the immediate arrest of the culprits.
