MANILA, Philippines — Alessandro Michieletto and Yuri Romano powered defending champion Italy’s sweep of Argentina, 25-23, 25-20, 25-22, to advance to the FIVB Volleyball Men’s World Championship quarterfinal on Sunday at Mall of Asia Arena.
Michieletto delivered a game-high 15 points, coming off 12 kills and three blocks, while Romano finished with 14 points from nine kills and additional contributions.
