**Daring Jewellery Showroom Owner Foils Daylight Robbery Attempt in Bhopal**
*Bhopal (Madhya Pradesh):* A brave jewellery showroom owner in Rohit Nagar Market successfully thwarted a daylight robbery attempt on Monday afternoon. With the aid of his staff, he managed to capture the armed culprit near Shahpura police station, bringing a dramatic incident to a close.
According to reports, Manoj Jain, a resident of Vishnu Hi-Tech City and owner of Akshansh Jewellers, was at his shop around 1 PM with an employee when a masked man entered, requesting to see gold chains. When Manoj asked the man to remove the cloth covering his face, the man suddenly pulled out a pistol, aiming it at him and demanding jewellery.
Despite the threat, Manoj refused to comply. The robber fired a shot in the air and struck Manoj on the face with the pistol’s butt. He then opened the cash box, looting cash and jewellery. The armed man attempted to fire two more times, but his pistol misfired.
Sensing an opportunity, Manoj bravely lunged at the robber. With help from his staff, he overpowered the culprit before he could escape. Nearby shopkeepers rushed to the scene and contacted the police.
Anand Soni, president of the New Bhopal Jewellers Association, praised Manoj’s extraordinary courage. “He not only saved his shop from being looted but also ensured the armed robber was caught,” Soni stated. He also urged the police to implement stronger measures to protect traders from such attacks in the future.
