Alex Eala sweeps Lu Jiajing to reach Jingshan Open semifinals

MANILA, Philippines – Alex Eala secured her place in the semifinals of the 2025 Jingshan Tennis Open with a commanding win over China’s Lu Jiajing on Friday.

Eala defeated Lu 6-4, 6-1, showcasing her resilience after facing some early challenges against the hometown favorite. She then dominated the second set to seal her spot in the next round.

This victory marks another semifinal berth for Eala in a WTA 125 tournament, continuing her impressive run.
