**Sheopur (Madhya Pradesh): FIRs to Be Filed Against Madrasas Involved in Unfair Practices, Says Forest Minister Ramniwas Rawat**
Madhya Pradesh’s Minister for Forests and Environment, Ramniwas Rawat, has issued a stern warning regarding unfair practices in madrasas. Speaking from Sheopur on Friday, the minister announced that FIRs will soon be registered against those found responsible.
According to reports, several madrasas have been receiving government funds after enrolling Hindu students, leading to a loss of crores of rupees to the government. The state government is considering recovering the misused funds from the madrasa administrators involved in these irregularities. This move has sparked controversy among madrasa officials.
Earlier, the Madhya Pradesh government ordered the closure of 56 madrasas, a directive swiftly implemented by the district administration. Investigations revealed alleged mismanagement of funds in these institutions, prompting their shutdown.
**“No One Will Be Spared”**
Addressing the media, Minister Ramniwas Rawat stated, “FIRs will soon be filed, and the funds wrongly allocated will be recovered from the administrators involved. No one will be spared.”
The issue gained further attention when it was revealed that Hindu students enrolled in these madrasas were receiving Islamic education. The National Commission for Protection of Child Rights (NCPCR) subsequently summoned Madhya Pradesh Chief Secretary Veera Rana to Delhi to discuss the matter.
Approximately a month and a half later, based on a report from the District Education Officer of Sheopur, the Madhya Pradesh Madrasa Board cancelled the licenses of 56 madrasas. Investigations found that government funds were being claimed in the name of Hindu students, many of whom had either completed their education or were already employed.
The state government’s decisive action signals a crackdown on financial irregularities and misuse of government funds in educational institutions. Further updates are expected as investigations continue.
