**Pimpri-Chinchwad Police Launches ‘Jyeshthanubandh’ Initiative to Support Senior Citizens**

Pimpri-Chinchwad: Senior citizens are encouraged to bring their concerns and problems directly to the police. To address their issues and provide dedicated services, the Pimpri-Chinchwad Police have launched the ‘Jyeshthanubandh’ initiative.

A mobile application accompanying this initiative is now available, enabling senior citizens to request any kind of assistance easily and promptly. Pimpri-Chinchwad Commissioner of Police, Vinoy Kumar Choubey, assured that the police force is deeply committed to the safety and well-being of the elderly population.

On Friday, the Pimpri-Chinchwad Police organized a dialogue meeting for senior citizens at the Ramkrushna More Auditorium in Chinchwad. During this event, IPS Choubey interacted with approximately 1,200 senior citizens, emphasizing the importance of community support and vigilance.

The event was also attended by JCP Dr. Shashikant Mahawarkar, Additional CP Sarang Awad, President of the Senior Citizens Federation Vrushali Maral, and several other senior police officials.

Senior citizens are often vulnerable to financial scams and cyber crimes. Recognizing this, the police highlighted the need for increased awareness and caution among the elderly. Information on the ‘Traffic Buddy’ and ‘Jyeshthanubandh’ initiatives was shared to help empower senior citizens to protect themselves better.

The participants appreciated these proactive measures taken by the police. Commissioner Vinoy Kumar Choubey reassured the elderly community with heartfelt words: “We are all together; you are not alone.”

Furthermore, the Commissioner provided valuable advice on precautions to prevent cyber crimes and urged senior citizens to seek police assistance for both legal and personal difficulties.

He also mentioned that over 25,000 senior citizens have already registered on the ‘Jyeshthanubandh’ mobile application, and the Pimpri-Chinchwad Police are continuously working to address the issues raised through this platform.

Senior citizens are encouraged to download the ‘Jyeshthanubandh’ app and actively participate in building a safer and more supportive community.
