**Pimpri-Chinchwad Police Launch ‘Jyeshthanubandh’ Initiative to Support Senior Citizens**
The Pimpri-Chinchwad Police have recently introduced the ‘Jyeshthanubandh’ initiative aimed at addressing the concerns and problems faced by senior citizens. This new program encourages elderly residents to bring their issues directly to the police, ensuring timely assistance and resolution.
A dedicated mobile application for the ‘Jyeshthanubandh’ initiative is now available, through which senior citizens can easily request various types of help. Pimpri-Chinchwad Commissioner of Police, Vinoy Kumar Choubey, emphasized the police department’s commitment to the safety and service of the elderly community.
On Friday, the Pimpri-Chinchwad Police organized a dialogue meeting for senior citizens at the Ramkrushna More Auditorium in Chinchwad. IPS Choubey engaged with around 1,200 senior attendees, along with other key officials including JCP Dr. Shashikant Mahawarkar, Addl CP Sarang Awad, and President of the Senior Citizens Federation, Vrushali Maral.
During the event, the Commissioner highlighted the growing risks senior citizens face from financial fraudsters and cybercriminals. He stressed the importance of awareness in preventing these crimes and shared practical precautions to avoid falling victim to such threats.
The program also introduced attendees to the ‘Traffic Buddy’ and ‘Jyeshthanubandh’ initiatives, both of which received positive feedback from the senior citizens present. Commissioner Choubey reassured the community, stating, “We are all together; you are not alone.”
He further encouraged senior citizens to reach out to the police not only for legal issues but also for personal difficulties, reiterating the department’s dedication to their well-being. To date, over 25,000 senior citizens have registered on the ‘Jyeshthanubandh’ mobile app, and the police continue to actively address their concerns.
Through initiatives like ‘Jyeshthanubandh,’ the Pimpri-Chinchwad Police aim to foster a safer, more supportive environment for their elderly residents, ensuring they receive the respect, security, and assistance they deserve.
