Team India, led by Suryakumar Yadav, clinched the Asia Cup 2025 title by defeating Pakistan in a thrilling final at the Dubai International Stadium on Sunday, September 29. This victory marked the third occasion on which India triumphed over Pakistan in the tournament. The winning moment came courtesy of Rinku Singh, who struck the decisive shot to seal India’s victory.

Following the win, social media platforms were flooded with congratulatory messages pouring in for Team India. One particular video went viral, featuring popular YouTuber Elvish Yadav congratulating Rinku Singh over a video call. The clip was shared by Elvish on his Instagram story shortly after India’s win.

What caught the attention of netizens was Rinku Singh addressing Elvish as “bhaiya” (brother) during their conversation. Despite Elvish being only one year older than Rinku—28 compared to Rinku’s 27—the term “bhaiya” was used as a sign of respect and warmth rather than an indication of a biological relationship.

During the call, Elvish can be heard saying, “Mahool bana diya. Karo enjoy,” followed by, “Party kidhar hai?” After Rinku responded, Elvish, who is also the winner of Bigg Boss OTT 2, wished him, “All the best. Congratulations once again. Bye brother, love you.” Rinku replied warmly, “Okay, thank you bhaiya… bye. Love you bhaiya.”

However, the respectful nickname did not sit well with some internet users. Many expressed surprise and criticism over Rinku calling Elvish “bhaiya.” One user commented on X, “Iss gawaar ko bhaiya kyun bol rha hai Rinku Singh,” while another wrote, “New low for Rinku.”

Several comments advised Rinku to keep a professional distance, with one user stating, “Rinku ko koi batao har kisiko bhaiya nahi bolna hota, Elvish apni jagah hai lekin Team India ke players ko focused rehna chahiye, aise har kisi se baat nahi karni chahiye, warna Prithvi Shaw ka example sabke saamne hai.” Other reactions included terms like “Unreal downfall of Rinku” and questions such as, “Rinku Singh kya majburi thi?”

In the early hours of Monday, Elvish also took to his official X account to celebrate India’s success. He wrote, “93,000 surrendered in December 1971. It’s September 2025, nothing has changed. Pakistan has always surrendered to India!! Congratulations Team India.”

On the professional front, Elvish was last seen on *Laughter Chefs Season 2*, where he emerged as the winner alongside his partner Karan Kundrra.

India’s victory in the Asia Cup 2025 has certainly sparked celebrations and debates alike, with the spotlight momentarily shifting from the cricket pitch to social media interactions.
