**Heavy Rainfall Alerts Issued for Multiple States by IMD**
The India Meteorological Department (IMD) has issued heavy rainfall alerts for several states, including Gujarat, West Bengal, parts of the Northeast region, and South Peninsular India. Weather projections by both the IMD and private forecasters indicate that the Delhi-NCR region will experience light rain starting from September 30, continuing into October 1.

### Gujarat Forecast: Red Alert in Gir Somnath and Junagadh
In its Monday update, the IMD issued a red alert for the Gir Somnath, Junagadh, and Porbandar districts in Gujarat. Meanwhile, Amreli, Rajkot, and Devbhoomi Dwarka are under an orange alert. Other districts have been placed on yellow alert as heavy rainfall is expected across the state until October 2.

### Maharashtra Forecast: Light Rain Expected in Mumbai
The meteorological department has predicted light rain or thundershowers in parts of Maharashtra’s Marathwada region starting Tuesday, continuing for the next few days. Konkan-Goa, some areas in South Madhya Maharashtra, and isolated areas in North Madhya Maharashtra may experience light to moderate rainfall. This wet spell is likely to continue until October 5.

### Rain Forecast: Heavy Rainfall Likely in Bihar, Jharkhand, and West Bengal
The IMD forecasts light to moderate rain or thunderstorms across most areas in West and Central India. Isolated heavy rainfall is expected over the Andaman & Nicobar Islands on September 30; West Bengal and Sikkim from October 2 to 4; Bihar from October 1 to 4; and Jharkhand from October 2 to 4, among other regions.
Gangetic West Bengal is likely to witness very heavy rainfall on October 2.

### Northeast Weather: Isolated Heavy Rainfall in Northeast India
Thunderstorms with gusty winds of 40-50 km/h are forecast over the Andaman & Nicobar Islands for the next five days. In Northeast India, isolated heavy rainfall is expected over Assam and Meghalaya from September 30 to October 5. Nagaland, Manipur, Mizoram, and Tripura may see similar weather conditions until October 2. Arunachal Pradesh is predicted to experience isolated heavy rainfall from October 1 to 5.

### Southern Forecast: Heavy Rainfall Likely in Coastal Andhra Pradesh and Tamil Nadu
In South Peninsular India, light to moderate rain or thunderstorms are expected at many places. Isolated heavy rainfall is forecast over north Tamil Nadu on September 30, and coastal Andhra Pradesh & Yanam until October 2.
Strong surface winds of 30-40 km/h are likely over Kerala & Mahe and Lakshadweep on September 30. Similar winds are expected over Tamil Nadu, Coastal Andhra Pradesh & Yanam, Rayalaseema, and Telangana from September 30 to October 3.

### Northwest Forecast: Lightning Alert for Uttarakhand, Rajasthan, J&K, and Himachal Pradesh
In northern India, the IMD predicts thunderstorms with lightning at isolated places over Uttarakhand on September 30. Rajasthan may experience similar weather from September 30 to October 3. Jammu & Kashmir and Himachal Pradesh are likely to see such conditions on October 4 and 5.

### Delhi Temperature Outlook
The maximum temperature in Delhi is expected to drop to around 32°C within the next two days due to a deep low-pressure system developing over Gujarat and the Arabian Sea.
