MANILA, Philippines — The Bangko Sentral ng Pilipinas (BSP) announced that it has been actively meeting the cash requirements of banks operating in Masbate following the impact of Severe Tropical Storm Ompong.
In a statement released on Thursday, the central bank said its Legazpi branch has been coordinating closely with local financial institutions to ensure the availability of sufficient cash and banking services for the affected communities.
This initiative aims to support the province’s recovery efforts by maintaining smooth financial operations despite the challenges brought by the storm.
