**Postecoglou Brushes Off Pressure Amid Nottingham Forest Struggles**

Nottingham Forest head coach Ange Postecoglou has brushed off the mounting pressure surrounding his position. The Australian took over from Nuno Espirito Santo at the City Ground but has yet to secure a win in his first six matches in charge.

Despite the club’s poor performance, including a recent 3-2 UEFA Europa League defeat at home to Midtjylland, Postecoglou remains unfazed by chants of “you’re getting sacked in the morning” from some frustrated fans.

### Resilience and Focus

Postecoglou emphasized that pressure does not affect his management style. “It doesn’t enter my head,” he said. “My responsibility lies in making sure this football club progresses and gets to a position where it can challenge for things.”

He continued, “If I start putting timelines to that or worry about what is going to happen next week then I am not performing the role I have been given.”

Adding further perspective, Postecoglou stated, “I just don’t think it is helpful to anyone. At the end of the day, I have to concentrate on the environment, the training, the way we play, and as I said last night, I am still very, very strong in my belief that we are not too far away.”

He also reflected on his previous experience: “Put it this way—I knew I was getting sacked at Tottenham about three or four months before I did, but that didn’t stop me from winning something.”

### Performance Review: A Challenging Start

Nottingham Forest’s struggles this season have been stark. The team has conceded 13 goals at an average of 2.17 per game— a defensive record worse than only Manchester United and Burnley in the Premier League.

This current run marks the 35th time a top-flight manager has failed to record a win in their first six matches across all competitions.

Despite this difficult start, Postecoglou is focusing on improving results on the pitch rather than appeasing critics.

### Managerial Stance and Upcoming Fixtures

Following the recent Europa League defeat, Postecoglou’s press conference was more philosophical than combative. He acknowledged questions about his future and potential discussions with club owner Evangelos Marinakis, despite only being in charge for 24 days.

The manager believes that victories will ultimately silence doubters. He faces a crucial run of fixtures in the coming weeks, starting with a Premier League trip to Newcastle United on Sunday.

This will be followed by matches against Chelsea, Porto (in the Europa League), Bournemouth, and Manchester United later this month.

Postecoglou’s focus remains clear: steady progress and winning performances to restore Nottingham Forest’s competitive edge. Fans and critics alike will be watching closely to see if he can turn around the team’s fortunes in the weeks ahead.
