**Nottingham Forest Head Coach Ange Postecoglou Brushes Off Pressure Amid Poor Start**

Nottingham Forest head coach Ange Postecoglou has remained unfazed by the mounting pressure surrounding his position, despite a disappointing start to his tenure at the City Ground. The Australian took over from Nuno Espirito Santo but is yet to secure a win in his first six matches in charge.

The club’s struggles have continued, including a recent 3-2 UEFA Europa League home defeat to Midtjylland. Some fans have even resorted to chanting, “you’re getting sacked in the morning,” but Postecoglou is refusing to let the negativity affect him.

### Resilience Amid Pressure

Postecoglou emphasized that pressure doesn’t influence his management style. He said, “It doesn’t enter my head. My responsibility lies in making sure this football club progresses and gets to a position where it can challenge for things.”

“If I start putting timelines to that or worry about what is going to happen next week then I am not performing the role I have been given,” he added.

The coach remains confident that his side is close to turning things around. “I just don’t think it is helpful to anyone. At the end of the day, I have to concentrate on the environment, the training, the way we play. As I said last night, I am still very, very strong in my belief that we are not too far away.”

Drawing from his own experience, Postecoglou reflected, “Put it this way: I knew I was getting sacked at Tottenham about three or four months before I did, but that didn’t stop me from winning something.”

### Performance Review: A Rocky Start for Forest

Nottingham Forest’s start to the season has been far from ideal. The team has conceded 13 goals in an average of 2.17 per game, a defensive record worse than only Manchester United and Burnley.

Statistically, this marks the 35th time a top-flight manager has failed to win any of their first six matches across all competitions. Despite these challenges, Postecoglou remains focused on improving performances on the pitch rather than trying to win over supporters immediately.

### Managerial Stance and Upcoming Fixtures

Following the recent defeat, Postecoglou’s press conference was measured and philosophical rather than defensive. He acknowledged questions about his future and confirmed he had been in talks with club owner Evangelos Marinakis, even though he has been in charge for only 24 days.

Despite the pressure to secure immediate results, Postecoglou believes that victories will eventually silence the critics.

Looking ahead, Nottingham Forest face a crucial Premier League trip to Newcastle United on Sunday. This will be followed by matches against Chelsea, Porto in the Europa League, Bournemouth, and Manchester United later this month.

Stay tuned as Postecoglou strives to steer Nottingham Forest toward better fortunes in the coming weeks.
