On September 29, during a get-together in Brussels, the European Union and the Community of Latin American and Caribbean States (CELAC) reached an important agreement to enhance their collaboration on research and innovation.
The primary tangible outcome of this deal will be the establishment of new working groups. These groups will focus on developing strategic plans in three key areas: climate change, environmental sustainability and energy transition; health; and artificial intelligence in science.
By joining forces in these critical fields, both regions aim to foster innovation and address global challenges more effectively. This collaborative effort marks a significant step forward in strengthening ties between the European Union and Latin American and Caribbean states.
