**Ike Turner Jr. Estranged from Tina Turner for Decades Before His Passing**

Ike Turner Jr., son of the legendary musician Ike Turner Sr., had been estranged from his famous adoptive mother, Tina Turner, for decades before her death in 2023, RadarOnline.com can reveal. Ike Jr., who passed away recently at the age of 67, claimed that his famous stepmother distanced herself from him after finding a second chance at love with her husband, Erwin Bach.

Tina Turner became stepmother to Ike Jr. and his brother Michael after adopting the boys when she married their father, Ike Sr., in Tijuana, Mexico, in 1962. The iconic husband-and-wife R&B duo had previously welcomed a son of their own, Ronnie, in 1960.

The stories of Ike Sr.’s abuse toward both Tina and his sons are widespread. Tina, known for hits like *What’s Love Got to Do with It*, was finally able to break free from his control in 1978, divorcing him and later finding happiness with her second husband, Bach.

However, when Tina found love again, Ike Jr. claims that he was left behind. “I haven’t talked to my mother since God knows when – probably around 2000. I don’t think any of my brothers have talked to her in a long time either,” Ike Jr. said in 2018. “My mother is living her life – she has a new husband and she’s in Europe.”

The heartbroken son later added that his stepmother didn’t “want to have anything to do with the past” and was eager to move on.

### Tina Turner Details Abuse by Ike Sr.

Before her death, Tina Turner revealed the violent horrors she endured while married to Ike Sr. in her autobiography, *My Love Story*. She described her ex-husband as a serial cheater whose violence escalated with his drug addiction.

“Sex with Ike had become an expression of hostility – a kind of rape – especially when it began or ended with a beating,” she alleged in the book. “What had been ugly and hateful between us before became worse with every snort of cocaine.”

Tina recounted some of her darkest moments, including an incident when Ike Sr. allegedly threw hot coffee in her face, causing third-degree burns.

“He used my nose as a punching bag so many times that I could taste blood running down my throat when I sang,” Tina said, explaining how the abuse not only took a physical toll but also affected her career and mental health. “He broke my jaw. And I couldn’t remember what it was like not to have a black eye.”

### Ike Sr. Also Abused His Son

Ike Jr. echoed Tina’s stories with accounts of his own abuse at the hands of his father. After his parents’ turbulent split, Ike Jr. briefly worked as Tina’s sound engineer. Their professional collaboration ended abruptly when Ike Sr. discovered their partnership and reacted violently.

“When my mother and father separated, he did not want me working with her,” Ike Jr. confessed. He revealed that his father would allegedly “beat me in the head with a nickel-plated .45 pistol” to enforce his wishes.

### The Tragic Passing of Ike Turner Jr.

Ike Jr.’s death was confirmed by Tina Turner’s niece, Jacqueline Bullock. She shared that he passed away on Saturday, October 4, at a Los Angeles hospital following kidney failure. Bullock revealed that Ike Jr. had been battling severe heart issues for years, and his health had steadily declined. He also suffered a stroke in early September.

His death comes just over two years after the passing of Tina Turner herself. The “Queen of Rock ‘n’ Roll” died peacefully at her home near Zurich, Switzerland, on May 24, 2023, at the age of 83. She had been fighting high blood pressure, kidney disease, and intestinal cancer.

The Turner family’s legacy is marked by incredible musical contributions as well as deeply personal struggles. Ike Jr.’s passing closes another chapter in this complex family history.
