MANILA, Philippines – Governments in Southeast Asia, including the Philippines, as well as South Korea, China, and Japan, should support economic sectors that are vulnerable to American trade policy and geopolitical tensions. Such support is essential to bolster the region’s resilience amid heightened uncertainties.
This recommendation comes from the Singapore-based ASEAN+3 Macroeconomic Research Office (AMRO), which today released a report emphasizing the need for strategic measures to safeguard the region’s economic stability.
