Lionsgate has released a new clip from *Now You See Me: Now You Don’t*, showcasing both the old and new groups of magicians as they tackle a lock that isn’t designed to be picked, but rather solved. While Lionsgate isn’t yet heavily promoting *Now You See Me: Now You Don’t*, the studio certainly needs more hits than misses. Given the positive reception of the first two films and if they manage to keep the budget under control, this sequel seems like a safe bet.
It’s still somewhat baffling that the series has reached a third installment, especially as the storylines continue to grow more unpredictable and off the rails compared to the earlier films. The newly released clip highlights how the new cast members are stepping up their game, even outdoing the original stars in some respects.
In this scene, Jack (played by Dave Franco) demonstrates his lockpicking skills, while June (Ariana Greenblatt) counters by showing that the lock isn’t an ordinary one. June references escape rooms, explaining that sometimes you have to think beyond just picking a lock, as there are multiple ways to open it.
