The Overbrook High School Class of 1975 is coming together this weekend for its 50th class reunion, marking a significant milestone. The golden anniversary celebration spans three days, beginning Friday and concluding Sunday at the Valley Forge Casino Resort in King of Prussia.

Located “on the top of the hill” in West Philadelphia, Overbrook High School holds a special place in the hearts of its alumni. The reunion offers a chance for attendees to reconnect.

“The three-day celebration is a way to catch up with old friends and teachers, exchange information, reminisce about the good old days, and make new memories,” organizers explained.

According to Mark Kidd of the planning committee, tracking down all the graduates was no small feat.

“We are talking about 50 years ago — we all were passing classes in the tight hallways, running to basketball practice, marching with the band, or going to choir rehearsal,” Kidd said. “It was an array of opportunities that excited students to learn and explore various curricular activities. ‘Brook was known for its magnet program and the arts.”

“Since time has passed, we have lost some friends and want to celebrate them and those who are still with us,” Kidd added.

**Event Schedule**
The reunion, titled “Keeping It Alive In ‘75,” kicked off on Friday with a meet-and-greet event. Alumni who missed Friday’s gathering can still join the reunion banquet on Saturday from 7 p.m. to 11 p.m. On Sunday, guests will say their final goodbyes at a brunch buffet from 10:45 a.m. to 12:30 p.m.
