The Tampa Bay Buccaneers welcomed rookie wide receiver Emeka Egbuka back on the field during Saturday’s practice. Egbuka had missed the first two days of practice this week after suffering a hamstring injury in last Sunday’s win over the San Francisco 49ers. Head coach Todd Bowles reported that Egbuka was able to participate in a limited practice session.
Bowles also mentioned that the team will make a game-time decision regarding Egbuka’s availability for Monday night’s matchup against the Detroit Lions.
In addition to Egbuka, wide receiver Mike Evans took part in Saturday’s practice as well. The Buccaneers are hopeful to have Evans return after missing three games due to his own hamstring injury.
However, the Bucs will be without several key players for the upcoming game. Wide receiver Chris Godwin has been ruled out with a fibula injury. Running back Bucky Irving (foot, shoulder), guard Luke Haggard (shoulder), and running back Josh Williams (concussion) are all expected to miss the game as well.
