**Policies:**
*Verification of Death:*
In order to publish obituaries, a name and phone number of the funeral home or cremation society handling the arrangements is required. We must contact them during their business hours to verify the death.
If the deceased’s body was donated to the University of Minnesota Anatomy Bequest Program or a similar program, their phone number is required for verification. Please allow enough time for us to contact them, especially during limited weekend hours.
A death certificate is also acceptable for verification; only one of these two options is necessary.
*Guestbook and Outside Websites:*
We are not allowed to reference other media sources with a guestbook or an obituary placed elsewhere when placing an obituary in print and online. We may place a website for a funeral home or a family email for contact instead. Contact us with any questions regarding this matter.
**Obituary Process:**
Once your submission is completed, we will fax or email a proof for review prior to publication in the newspaper. This proof includes price and the dates the notice is scheduled to appear.
Please review the proof carefully. We must be notified of any errors or changes before the notice appears in the Pioneer Press based on each day’s deadlines. After publication, we are not responsible for errors that occur after final proofing.
For changes to an online obituary, please contact the obituary desk.

### NFL Fantasy Football Injury and Player Update — Week 7
The week 7 fantasy football season brings both good news and challenges for several teams.
**Tampa Bay Buccaneers:**
Standout receivers Mike Evans and Emeka Egbuka returned to practice on Friday and may be available Monday night for the team’s showdown in Detroit. They are currently listed as game-time decisions. With RB Bucky Irving and WR Chris Godwin ruled out, their availability is crucial for the Buccaneers’ chances against the favored Lions.
**Washington Commanders:**
The Commanders have ruled out their top three wide receivers: Terry McLaurin, Deebo Samuel, and Noah Brown.
**Other Player Updates:**
– Carolina welcomes RB Chuba Hubbard back to pair with the emerging Rico Dowdle.
– Dallas wideout CeeDee Lamb is expected to play, as is 49ers TE George Kittle.
– Out or doubtful players include Niners QB Brock Purdy, Rams’ Puka Nacua, Titans’ Calvin Ridley, Packers’ Christian Watson, Colts’ Josh Downs, Giants’ Darius Slayton, Cleveland’s David Njoku, Raiders TE Brock Bowers, and Jets WR Garrett Wilson.
– Questionable players include Packers’ Josh Jacobs, Bears’ D’Andre Swift, Patriots’ Stefon Diggs, Atlanta’s Darnell Mooney, Commanders’ Zach Ertz, and Arizona QB Kyler Murray.
—
### Quarterback Options for Week 7
With top quarterbacks Buffalo’s Josh Allen and Baltimore’s Lamar Jackson on bye or injured, starting QBs are hard to come by. Most of the better replacement quarterbacks may already be taken in fantasy leagues, leaving few quality options.
Here are some quarterbacks to consider for this week:
– **Michael Penix Jr. (Falcons):** Coming off his best two games, Penix faces a struggling San Francisco defense missing linebacker Fred Warner.
– **Aaron Rodgers (Steelers):** Facing the Bengals, Rodgers is averaging two touchdown passes per game and could replicate that performance.
– **C. J. Stroud (Texans):** Despite challenges like a patchwork offensive line and Seattle opponent, Stroud had a strong performance last week and could continue to impress.
– **Bryce Young (Panthers):** Has performed well against weaker defenses and now faces the Jets, currently considered one of the league’s weakest teams.
—
### Sitting Stars and Matchups
– Chiefs’ defense is strong and expected to contain Raiders RB Ashton Jeanty.
– Tennessee RB Tony Pollard could struggle against New England.
– Vikings’ defense is likely to disrupt the Eagles’ passing game and limit receivers A.J. Brown and Devonta Smith.
– Seattle will focus coverage on Houston’s star wideout Nico Collins.
– Giants QB Jaxson Dart may perform better than Jets’ Fields did the previous week, but expectations remain low.
– Dolphins QB Tua Tagovailoa faces a tough defense led by Myles Garrett of Cleveland.
—
### Top Fantasy Performers and Rising Stars
– Carolina’s Rico Dowdle leads running backs with strong recent performances and could have another big day.
– Kimani Vidal is the new No. 1 running back for the Chargers and is expected to score against the Colts, as is teammate WR Ladd McConkey.
– Dallas’ George Pickens and Cincinnati’s Tee Higgins remain hot wide receivers.
– Promising quarterbacks to watch include Patriots’ Drake Maye, Tampa Bay’s Baker Mayfield, and Washington’s Jayden Daniels.
—
### Injury Watch
The league-wide receiving corps has sustained several significant injuries, including Rams’ Puka Nacua, Buccaneers’ Emeka Egbuka, Cardinals’ Marvin Harrison Jr., Niners’ Jauan Jennings, Jets’ Garrett Wilson, Titans’ Calvin Ridley, and Cleveland tight end David Njoku.
Tampa Bay has ruled out RB Bucky Irving and WR Chris Godwin. Raiders TE Brock Bowers is also likely out.
Multiple players remain questionable, including six receivers (Dallas’ CeeDee Lamb, Chargers’ Quentin Johnston, Tampa’s Mike Evans, Washington’s Terry McLaurin, Chicago’s D.J. Moore, Atlanta’s Darnell Mooney) and three quarterbacks (Arizona’s Kyler Murray, Niners’ Brock Purdy, and Vikings’ J.J. McCarthy).
—
### Sleeper Pick
The Cardinals’ running back Zonovan Knight, nicknamed “Bam” by friends and teammates, has emerged as the team’s No. 1 back due to injuries. The third-year pro from North Carolina State rushed for 34 yards and scored a touchdown last week. He is expected to provide fantasy value until Trey Benson returns from injury in November.
—
### Thursday Night NFL Pick
– **Steelers at Bengals (+5½):** Pick — Steelers by 3
