A beautiful and gentle autumn day in Washington, D.C., was overshadowed on Saturday by the piercing screams and controversial signs at the “No Kings” protests. This second round of demonstrations quickly turned into a hate-filled and unpatriotic parade, where attendees openly expressed their vitriol toward the president while calling for the death of their political opponents—whom they compared to Hitler.
It’s surprising that, following the assassination attempt on Charlie Kirk, some Democrats still seem to endorse political violence. Former Vice President Kamala Harris even stated on X that “Political violence has no place in America.” However, the signs and chants at this protest told a different story.
Here are some of the most—let’s say—“interesting” signs I encountered at the event:
– “Can’t disagree with that!”
– Crabby protesters—one wonders what President Donald Trump supposedly did to the blue crab population.
– “I’m glad Hitler [referring to Charlie Kirk] is dead.” This particular lady certainly made an impression. Daily Signal intern Angelina Deflin had an awkward but revealing interview with her.
The hypocrisy was hard to miss. While Republicans and MAGA supporters are often portrayed as a threat to the U.S., it was Democrats who openly called for the assassination of Trump and harm against the 77 million Americans who voted for him. Welcome to the “party of love and inclusion,” ladies and gentlemen.
Then came the so-called “Plushy Squad.” Were these political protesters or walking advertisements for a Halloween costume shop?
One might ask: Didn’t the president recently broker a monumental peace deal in the Middle East, putting an end to the conflict in Gaza? It’s truly remarkable—no matter the achievement, some will always find a reason to criticize.
Perhaps we should look on the bright side. At least the Left is now pretending to respect the Founding Fathers again.
