On October 19, we also reported that the announcement video for *Shakti Shalini* will be attached to *Thamma*, the grand Diwali release.
Now, we bring you another exciting update: *Shakti Shalini* is set to release in cinemas on December 24, 2026.

Just like *Thamma*, *Shakti Shalini* belongs to the Maddock Horror Comedy Universe—a blockbuster franchise that began with *Stree* (2018), followed by *Bhediya* (2022).
*Munjya* (2024) was the next installment and turned out to be a sleeper super-hit. *Stree 2* (2024) emerged as the highest Bollywood grosser of all time, while *Thamma* is the fifth film in this expanding universe.

Originally, when Kiara Advani was cast in *Shakti Shalini*, the film was planned for release on December 31, 2025. With Aneet Padda now starring and the release moved to 2026, it means three Maddock Horror Comedy Universe films will arrive next year: *Shakti Shalini*, *Chamunda*, and *Bhediya 2*.
*Stree 3* is scheduled for 2027, while in 2028, the franchise will conclude with three highly anticipated movies—*Maha Munjya*, *Pehla Mahayudh*, and *Doosara Mahayudh*.
