### NBA Season Preview and Predictions
While Minnesota’s regular season opener is slated for Wednesday in Portland, the NBA officially kicks off Tuesday when Oklahoma City hoists a banner ahead of its bout with Kevin Durant and the Houston Rockets.
Ahead of the new NBA season, here’s what to watch for, followed by predictions of each team’s finish.
**Is there parity?**
The NBA has seen six different champions over the past six seasons, suggesting the league is wide open. However, it’s not a random outcome once playoffs begin. The last four champions had home-court advantage in every playoff round. Denver, Boston, and Oklahoma City were clearly the top contenders in recent years. So, the regular season remains critical to separate yourself.
**Health over everything**
Load management has been a contentious topic, but last season highlighted the importance of health. The champion’s journey spans eight months, and a single injury can end title hopes. Key postseason injuries to stars like Jayson Tatum, Tyrese Haliburton, Steph Curry, and others impacted their teams’ trajectories.
Whichever top-tier team keeps its best players healthy might be the one lifting the trophy in June.
