Epic Games has announced the introduction of Sidekicks, new companion creatures that can accompany players in Fortnite. These customizable Sidekicks can be used across various game modes, including Battle Royale, LEGO Fortnite, and other titles developed by Epic.
Sidekicks will make their debut with the launch of the next Fortnite season on November 1. The announcement was detailed in a recent blog post, highlighting how these companions travel alongside players as they explore and battle enemies in the game world.
While Sidekicks do not provide any competitive advantage, they add a fun and interactive element to gameplay. They mimic player emotes and react dynamically to in-game action, enhancing the overall player experience.
Most Sidekicks are customizable when first acquired, allowing players to personalize their companions. However, once customization is finalized, these changes become permanent. Additionally, Sidekicks will earn Sidekick Points (SP) through gameplay, which can be spent to unlock new cosmetic items.
Several Sidekicks have already been revealed. Among them is Peels, a playful banana-themed puppy that players can earn by progressing through the new Battle Pass starting November 1, 2025. Other Sidekicks, including Bonesy, Spike, and Lil’ Raptor, will be available for purchase in the Item Shop beginning November 7.
