The New York Knicks have received an injury boost ahead of Friday’s game against the Chicago Bulls, as their starting center, Mitchell Robinson, is no longer definitively out. Robinson, one of the team’s longest-tenured players, has been with the Knicks since being drafted at No. 36 in 2018.
Over the last two seasons, Robinson has faced several injury setbacks, having played only 48 games since 2023. Although he was fit for the 2025 playoffs, he missed the Knicks’ season opener due to an ankle injury. Fans were left wondering about his status after the team shut him down following its third preseason game. After missing the first four matchups of the 2025-26 season, Robinson’s status against the Bulls has now been upgraded to questionable, opening the possibility of his return on Friday.
According to Knicks reporter Stefan Bondy, Robinson was a full participant at Thursday’s team practice. If he does play, it wouldn’t be surprising if he is placed on a minutes restriction. When healthy, Robinson is known for making a solid impact on both ends of the floor for New York. His efficient scoring in the paint, strong rebounding effort, and shot-blocking ability are highly valued by the team.
In addition to Robinson, Miles McBride is also likely to play in Friday’s game after missing the Knicks’ last two contests. With these two players back on the team sheet, New York will be at full strength for the first time this season.
The Knicks started the 2025-26 campaign well with back-to-back wins against the Cleveland Cavaliers and the Boston Celtics. However, they have since dropped two straight games to the Miami Heat and Milwaukee Bucks. Through four games, Jalen Brunson has emerged as the Knicks’ leader on offense, averaging 31.8 points, 4.0 rebounds, and 5.0 assists per game. Mikal Bridges has also contributed solidly, recording 18.0 points, 6.8 rebounds, and 4.5 assists. Meanwhile, Towns is off to a slower start but still maintains a double-double average with 17.0 points and 13.5 rebounds per game.
**Where to Watch the Knicks vs. Bulls Game**
Jalen Brunson and the Knicks will take on the Chicago Bulls at the United Center on Friday, October 31. The game is scheduled to tip off at 8 p.m. ET.

New York is looking to break its two-game losing streak against Chicago, while the Bulls aim to extend their winning run to five consecutive games.
