All Scrappy’s Upgrade Material Locations | ARC Raiders
Scrappy’s gathering service is quite useful in ARC Raiders, but it becomes even more valuable if you bring him every upgrade material he wants! Scrappy the Rooster stays in Speranza, hoarding materials while you’re out on Raids. When you return, you can collect these materials for free. By using various items you collect, you can even upgrade this service to get more materials every time.
In this guide, we’ll quickly show you where to find all the materials you need to max out Scrappy’s upgrades!
Dog Collar
Let’s start with the one item required to get Scrappy to Level 2: the Dog Collar.
Here’s the bad news: this item is completely random. The good news is that you only need to find one Dog Collar. There are no set spawn locations for this item. Instead, it can randomly spawn whenever you breach and search containers within Residential areas, such as the Ruby Residence or Research & Admin Building on the Dam Battlegrounds map.
Some players report finding it in other areas, but Residential areas seem to be the best spots to search. Unfortunately, there’s no simple way to guarantee it—just keep opening every container, cabinet, and anything else you find in Residential areas until you get it.
Tip: Try doing Night Raids. You generally get more and better loot during those, which might increase your chances of finding the Dog Collar.
Lemons, Apricots, and Olives
Next, you’ll need three types of fruit items: Lemons, Apricots, and Olives. Luckily, they can all be found within the Olive Grove area on the Blue Gate map.
- Lemons and Apricots are usually found on the ground near small fruit trees.
- Olives appear by the taller trees.
Remember, you can interact with these trees by giving them a kick! This action has a chance to make more fruits fall down, so be sure to try it.
Aside from the Olive Grove, you can also find these trees in other areas marked as Natural. However, Olive Grove remains the most reliable spot to farm these fruits.
If you plan to farm in different Natural areas, we recommend waiting for Lush Blooms events, which increase the fruit yield. As always, Night Raids tend to yield more loot as well.
Fruit Requirements for Scrappy’s Upgrades:
- Lemons: 3 (for Level 3)
- Apricots: 3 (for Level 3), 12 (for Level 5) – Total 15
- Olives: 6 (for Level 4)
Mushrooms
Mushrooms are the most challenging material to farm due to their rarity. You can mostly find them in the Swamp area located on the western section of the Dam Battlegrounds map.
They also spawn in other areas and maps, but the Swamp area is your best bet. Mushrooms tend to grow out of tree trunks and sometimes appear on the ground near the swamp’s edges. They’re fairly large and white, making them easy to spot from a distance.
The main challenge is their infrequent spawn rate. To farm Mushrooms efficiently, we highly recommend waiting for a Lush Blooms event. Performing a Night Raid may also help, though it might make spotting them more difficult.
For Scrappy’s upgrades, you’ll need a total of 12 Mushrooms.
Prickly Pears
Prickly Pears can be annoying to find but are not as rare as some other materials. They generally spawn on the ground near cacti.
To find cacti, we suggest playing on the Buried City or Dam Battlegrounds maps, which seem to have the highest concentration of cacti. A specific good farming spot is the area around the Pattern House in the northern part of the Dam Battlegrounds, where many cacti grow.
You’ll need to collect 6 Prickly Pears in total for Scrappy’s Level 4 upgrade.
Very Comfortable Pillows and Cat Beds
These two items are also randomly found, similar to the Dog Collar.
You can find them as random loot inside containers in Residential and Commercial areas. The Testing Annex in the Dam Battlegrounds is a great spot for farming these items, especially if you have the Testing Annex Key, as it contains many containers.
Again, Night Raids might improve your luck, so consider doing those when farming.
You’ll need 1 Cat Bed for Level 4 and 3 Very Comfortable Pillows for Level 5.
