Multiple people were stabbed on a train in the United Kingdom on Saturday night, according to police reports. The attack took place in Huntingdon, Cambridgeshire, shortly before 8 p.m. local time.

Authorities confirmed that ten people were knifed during the incident. Two men were arrested after armed officers responded to the scene. The Cambridgeshire Constabulary stated, “We were called at 7:39 p.m. with reports that multiple people had been stabbed on a train. Armed officers attended and the train was stopped at Huntingdon, where two men were arrested. A number of people have been taken to hospital.”

Huntingdon is located approximately 19 miles northwest of Cambridge and about 75 miles north of London.

The British Transport Police are leading the investigation into the attack, as noted by the local constabulary.

Ben Obese-Jecty, a British Member of Parliament (MP) representing Huntingdon, acknowledged the incident on X late Saturday and said he is seeking more information. “My thoughts are with the victims and those involved,” he wrote.

British Prime Minister Keir Starmer also expressed sympathy on X, stating, “The appalling incident on a train near Huntingdon is deeply concerning. My thoughts are with all those affected, and my thanks go to the emergency services for their response. Anyone in the area should follow the advice of the police.”

Authorities continue to investigate the attack and have not released further details at this time.
