How to Complete the Straight Record Quest in ARC Raiders
As an earlier quest in ARC Raiders, Straight Record is, at the risk of a pun, pretty straightforward. The mission involves going to a specific location, interacting with a few objectives, and collecting your reward. However, the objectives aren’t immediately obvious, so we’ll cover how to find them and complete the Straight Record quest step-by-step.
Quest Overview
To complete Straight Record, you need to:
- Find an EMP trap on the Dam Battleground
- Turn off three power sources
- Turn off the EMP trap itself
The entire quest takes place in the northwestern portion of the Dam Battleground, just east of the Power Generation Complex in the Victory Ridge region. Victory Ridge spans from the Pale Apartments at the western edge of the Dam all the way to the West Broken Bridge in the north.
The EMP trap is located south of the West Broken Bridge, nestled between the West Broken Bridge and the Ruby Residence points of interest. You’ll recognize it by the collection of ruined buildings surrounding a central clearing.
Starting the Quest
Once you find the EMP trap, interact with it to trigger the next set of objectives: finding three power switches to disable.
Where to Find the First Power Switch
The first power switch is located mostly due north of the EMP trap on a ridge overlooking the clearing. If you approach from the south, you’ll see the switch—a box glowing yellow on top. Climb up to the switch and interact with it to power it down, then proceed to the next step.
Where to Find the Second Power Switch
The second power switch is on the second level of a ruined red building east of the EMP trap. Use the breachable power box to climb onto the upper platform, then carefully navigate to the second power switch and turn it off.
Where to Find the Third Power Switch
The third power switch is located south of the EMP trap. Follow the power cable on the ground leading away from the clearing. You’ll find a small electrical pylon with a cable running south of it; the switch is nearby. Interact with it to turn it off.
Completing the Quest
Finally, return to the EMP trap and turn it off to complete the quest.
Note that you don’t need to survive the raid to complete the quest. If you finish the objectives quickly enough, you can continue to loot and fight. Even if you end up back in Speranza courtesy of another Raider, you can still visit Celeste and complete the Straight Record quest.
