The latest Civilization 7 Update 1.3 delivers a massive overhaul to water gameplay. It revamps how water tiles and their resources work, as well as introduces new mechanics for navigating these tiles. Coastal tiles have been redesigned to provide more rewarding output, enhancing resource gathering and strategic opportunities.

In addition to Blackbeard and the Republic of Pirates, the expansion adds Sayyida al Hurra and the Ottomans to the roster, joining civilizations like Iceland and Tonga. The update also brings four new Wonders to enhance your civilization-building experience.
After January 5, 2026, the Tides of Power Collection will be available for purchase at $30. However, players who already own Civilization 7 can claim the expansion for free on their preferred platform until that date. Firaxis’s generous offer is a way of thanking fans who have supported Civ 7 so far.
