With the year rapidly coming to a close, it’s time for one more Hearthstone expansion for 2025. The Year of the Raptor takes a stroll through the ages with **Hearthstone: Across the Timeways**, a set that’s all about messing with the fabric of time.
The latest expansion adds 145 cards across all 11 of the game’s classes and features some new mechanics, including the intriguing new **Rewind** keyword. Across the Timeways is set to arrive today, which means it’s time again to take a look at some decks from Hearthstone’s most recognizable pros and streamers.
Shacknews had a chance to play against some of these decks during the recent Hearthstone Theorycrafting session. While I didn’t have a lot of success, I did have a lot of fun and was able to pick up some valuable intel on this new set. Let’s check out some deck ideas to help you get through the first day of this new expansion.

### Clark Hellscream’s Location Druid
**Deck List Highlights:**
– 2x Construct Pylons (0)
– 2x Innervate (0)
– 2x Waveshaping (1)
– 1x Lady Azshara (5)
– 1x Zin-Azshari (4)
– 2x Scrapbooking Student (5)
– 1x Artanis (8)
This is a Druid deck that sneaks up on players if they’re not careful. How do I know this? Well, see this hapless Patron player that Clark has queued up against twice? Yeah, that’s me.
I took my foot off the gas against this deck, thinking I had things well in hand, not realizing that the buffed-up **Zin-Azshari** location could hit for an obscene amount in a single turn by doubling the stats of a minion on board. Yes, that includes the Protoss minions that have Charge.
Once your Zin-Azshari is buffed up, make a copy of it with Scrapbooking Student and you’ll suddenly be in a prime spot for a one-turn kill. There’s a good chance the opponent won’t even see it coming—I sure didn’t.

### Warshack’s Midrange Hunter
**Deck List Highlights:**
– 2x Quel’dorei Fletcher (1)
– 2x Jungle Gym (2)
– 2x Untimely Death (2)
– 1x Ranger General Sylvanas (3)
– 2x Devious Coyote (5)
– 2x Ankylodon (6)
Hunter has more than aggro tools at its disposal this expansion. There are handy midrange cards that are looking to prove more valuable to the Hunter than ever before, like Ankylodon and Devious Coyote.
If played alongside the new **Untimely Death** Secret, these minions simply pop back up on the board if the opponent tries to remove them next turn. The more Windrunners that see play, the more potent their effect becomes, so try and find them quickly with tools like Portal Vanguard.

### Christian’s Dragon Warrior
**Deck List Highlights:**
– 2x Darkrider (1)
– 2x Giftwrapped Whelp (1)
– 2x Shield Block (2)
– 1x Timelord Nozdormu (3)
– 1x Lo’Gosh, Blood Fighter (7)
– 1x Chrono-Lord Epoch (6)
The Warrior’s Fabled Legendaries are fascinating in that the player needs to make it to 7 Mana to play them—which isn’t always easy in an aggro meta.
Fortunately, this deck has enough control tools and lower-cost Dragons to stay in the game until **Lo’Gosh**, **Broll**, and **Valeera, Blood Fighter** hit the board. Once there, not only do they hit hard, but their Deathrattle summons buffed-up versions of the others, making removal tricky.
For players who don’t want to wait that long, **Chemical Spill** on Turn 5 can get the Legendaries online sooner.
The other MVP is **Chrono-Lord Epoch**, which can erase any minions played by the opponent last turn. Depending on the scenario, this can be devastating and swing the game.

### Brigitteous’ Nature Shaman
**Deck List Highlights:**
– 2x Static Shock (0)
– 2x Lightning Rod (1)
– 2x Flux Revenant (2)
– 2x Far Sight (3)
– 1x Muradin, High King (5)
– 2x Stormrook (5)
– 1x Krag’wa, the Frog (6)
Shaman introduces new Nature spells that affect both opponents and the Shaman’s own minions. This self-harm strategy is more effective than it sounds because minions like **Flux Revenant** and **Stormrook** benefit significantly when hit by Nature spells.
**Krag’wa the Frog** is a fascinating inclusion here, returning many of those Nature spells to your hand for a quick refresh.
Muradin, the new Fabled Legendary, can buff himself quickly and get out of control fast—before even factoring in his weapon that strengthens with each use.

### Nohandsgamer’s Dragon OTK Mage
**Deck List Highlights:**
– 2x Go with the Flow (1)
– 2x Buy One, Get One Free (3)
– 1x Azure King Malygos (5)
– 1x Azure Queen Sindragosa (5)
– 2x Nightmare Lord Xavius (4)
This Mage deck focuses on a powerful One Turn Kill (OTK) combo. The trick is to draw **Buy One, Get One Free** using **Watercolor Artist** so those spells cost zero.
This allows players to create multiple copies of Malygos and unleash devastating Arcane spells to wipe out opponents in a single turn.
Naturally, this is vulnerable if you draw your BOGO spells too early, but if you can pull off the combo, fireworks await. Just try to survive long enough—an arduous task given the current aggro-heavy meta.

### Trump’s Handbuff Priest
**Deck List Highlights:**
– 2x Overzealous Healer (1)
– 2x Power Word: Barrier (2)
– 2x Divine Augur (5)
– 1x Eternus (6)
– 1x Malorne the Waywatcher (8)
Trump’s take on Priest leans heavily into the new handbuff mechanics introduced in this expansion.
Cards like **Power Word: Barrier**, **Disciple of the Dove**, and **Divine Augur** significantly buff minion stats in hand.
If those minions don’t pan out, the Priest’s suite of **Imbue** effects provides reliable backup to shift the game’s momentum.

### Warshack’s Combo Rogue
**Deck List Highlights:**
– 2x Preparation (0)
– 2x Shadowstep (0)
– 2x Chrono Daggers (3)
– 1x King Liane (3)
– 1x Chrono-Lord Deios (7)
– 1x Incindius (7)
This meme-worthy Rogue deck requires many moving parts to come together for a massive combo.
Playing **Chrono-Lord Deios**, alongside two Mini Sandbox Scoundrels and **Sonya Waterdancer**, reduces the cost of **Incindius** to just (1).
Sonya copies Incindius, and with Deios on board, Incindius’ Battlecry and End of Turn effects trigger twice—resulting in an explosive turn.
The key is surviving long enough to pull off this deadly combo and ensuring your opponent doesn’t have lethal on their next turn.

### Kris O’ Five’s Bwonsamdi Death Knight
**Deck List Highlights:**
– 2x Morbid Swarm (1)
– 2x Dreadhound Handler (3)
– 1x Bwonsamdi (7)
– 1x Carnivorous Cube (5)
– 1x Endbringer Umbra (7)
**Bwonsamdi** is literally the gift that keeps on giving—provided you can keep bringing him back.
Be careful not to include Undead minions that are more expensive than Bwonsamdi, as this allows **Memoriam Manifest** to resummon him repeatedly.
If Bwonsamdi survives more than one turn, **Carnivorous Cube** can extend this resurrection chain.
Finally, if enough Bwonsamdis flood the board, **Endbringer Umbra** activates some of their Deathrattles, rapidly filling the board with powerful minions.

### Zeddy’s Spell Demon Hunter
**Deck List Highlights:**
– 2x Illidari Studies (1)
– 2x Time-Lost Glaive (2)
– 2x Broxigar (2)
– 1x Solitude (3)
– 1x The Eternal Hold (6)
Zeddy, who has historically not favored Demon Hunter, embraces a new gimmick here.
The synergy revolves around **Broxigar**, who becomes a 12/12 Charger after killing demons spawned by Portals to Argus.
The deck is packed with spells and weapons, such as **Blind Box** and **Time-Lost Glaive**, that discover minions or buff them.
All of this feeds into **The Eternal Hold**, which lets players find one high-cost demon for free, enabling powerful late-game plays.

### Ozzie’s Rafaam Warlock
**Deck List Highlights:**
– 2x Paltry Flutterwing (1)
– 2x Prize Vendor (3)
– 2x Timelord Nozdormu (3)
– 2x Nightmare Lord Xavius (4)
– 2x Rafaam Ladder! (5)
– 1x Timethief Rafaam (10)
– 1x Table Flip (10)
I was among the first to see many downsides to the Rafaam Warlock deck. During a Theorycrafting session, Trump pulled **Timethief Rafaam** off Dirty Rat—despite 1-in-6 odds—which wrecked the OTK play.
Despite these downsides, the deck is incredibly fun—racing to get Rafaam’s win condition online.
Even if the OTK doesn’t land, individual Rafaam minions have solid effects. For example, a 9/9 that Polymorphs the board or a 7/7 that duplicates itself.
Buffing these bodies with **Nightmare Lord Xavius** only adds to their threat level.
Don’t knock Rafaam until you try him—he might just surprise you.
