With the year rapidly coming to a close, it’s time for one more Hearthstone expansion for 2025. The Year of the Raptor takes a stroll through the ages with **Hearthstone: Across the Timeways**, a set that’s all about messing with the fabric of time.
The latest expansion adds 145 cards across all 11 of the game’s classes and features some new mechanics, including the intriguing new **Rewind** keyword. Across the Timeways is set to arrive today, which means it’s time again to take a look at some decks from Hearthstone’s most recognizable pros and streamers.
Shacknews had a chance to play against some of these decks during the recent Hearthstone Theorycrafting session. While I didn’t have a lot of success, I had a lot of fun and was able to pick up some valuable intel on this new set.
Let’s check out some deck ideas to help you get through the first day of this new expansion. Without further delay, here are some decks worth trying out on day one of *Across the Timeways*.

### Clark Hellscream’s Location Druid
**Deck Highlights:**
– 2x Construct Pylons
– 2x Innervate
– 2x Swipe
– 1x Elise the Navigator
– 2x Zin-Azshari
– 1x Artanis
– 1x Zilliax Deluxe
This is a Druid deck that sneaks up on players if they’re not careful. How do I know this? Well, I was the hapless Patron player Clark queued up against twice. I took my foot off the gas, thinking I had it under control—not realizing how devastating a buffed-up Zin-Azshari location can be.
Zin-Azshari can double the stats of a minion on board, including those with Charge, setting up obscene damage in a single turn. Then, by copying it with Scrapbooking Student, you can easily set up a one-turn kill. The opponent might not even see it coming—I certainly didn’t.

### Warshack’s Midrange Hunter
**Deck Highlights:**
– 2x Quel’dorei Fletcher
– 2x Slumbering Sprite
– 2x Untimely Death
– 1x Ranger General Sylvanas
– 2x Devious Coyote
– 2x Ankylodon
Hunter has more than just aggro tools this expansion. Midrange Hunter decks leverage strong minions like Ankylodon and Devious Coyote to stay on board. Coupled with the new **Untimely Death** Secret, these minions pop back up if removed, providing resilience.
The presence of multiple “Windrunners” in play amplifies their effect, so finding them quickly with cards like Portal Vanguard is key to maximizing the deck’s potential.

### Christian’s Dragon Warrior
**Deck Highlights:**
– 2x Darkrider
– 2x Giftwrapped Whelp
– 1x Timelord Nozdormu
– 1x Chemical Spill
– 2x For Glory!
– 1x Chrono-Lord Epoch
– 1x Lo’Gosh, Blood Fighter
– 1x Broll, Blood Fighter
– 1x Valeera, Blood Fighter
The Warrior’s fabled Legendaries require reaching 7 Mana to play, which can be tough in an aggro-heavy meta. Fortunately, this deck includes enough control tools and low-cost Dragons to survive until then.
Once on board, Lo’Gosh, Broll, and Valeera not only hit hard but also summon buffed versions of one another upon death, making them difficult to remove. Additionally, **Chemical Spill** helps get these Legendaries out earlier, and **Chrono-Lord Epoch** can wipe out all minions played by the opponent last turn, often swinging games.

### Brigitteous’ Nature Shaman
**Deck Highlights:**
– 2x Static Shock
– 2x Lightning Rod
– 2x Flux Revenant
– 2x Primordial Overseer
– 2x Thunderquake
– 1x Timelord Nozdormu
– 1x Muradin, High King
– 2x Stormrook
– 1x Krag’wa, the Frog
Shaman takes an interesting approach this expansion, using Nature spells that can also hit its own minions. This “self-harm” strategy is surprisingly effective when combined with minions like Flux Revenant and Stormrook, which benefit from being damaged by Nature spells.
**Krag’wa the Frog** helps by returning many Nature spells to the hand, enabling repeated use. Muradin, High King, the new Fabled Legendary, buffs himself rapidly and grows out of control if the opponent doesn’t keep him in check.

### Nohandsgamer’s Dragon OTK Mage
**Deck Highlights:**
– 2x Go with the Flow
– 2x Mirror Dimension
– 2x Buy One, Get One Free
– 1x Azure Queen Sindragosa
– 1x Azure King Malygos
– 1x Azure Oathstone
While not many Dragons appear, those present in this Mage are enough to win the game. The key combo is drawing **Buy One, Get One Free** discounted to zero using **Watercolor Artist** so players can generate copies of Malygos to unleash devastating Arcane damage in a single turn.
The main challenge is lasting long enough against aggressive decks to assemble this combo, but when it goes off, the fireworks are incredible.

### Trump’s Handbuff Priest
**Deck Highlights:**
– 2x Overzealous Healer
– 2x Power Word: Barrier
– 2x Disciple of the Dove
– 2x Divine Augur
– 1x Eternus
– 1x Malorne the Waywatcher
Trump’s Priest deck focuses on the new handbuff tools introduced in the expansion. Cards like **Power Word: Barrier**, **Disciple of the Dove**, and **Divine Augur** buff minions’ stats significantly, making them formidable.
If you don’t get good minions in hand, the deck includes numerous Imbue tools to maintain pressure and control of the board.

### Warshack’s Combo Rogue
**Deck Highlights:**
– 2x Preparation
– 2x Shadowstep
– 2x Deja Vu
– 2x Chrono Daggers
– 2x Sonya Waterdancer
– 1x Sandbox Scoundrel
– 1x Chrono-Lord Deios
– 1x Incindius
This combo Rogue deck is a complex meme-style build requiring several working parts to pull off its explosive turns.
The goal is to play **Chrono-Lord Deios**, **Mini Sandbox Scoundrel**, **Sonya Waterdancer**, and another Mini Sandbox Scoundrel. This combo reduces the cost of **Incindius** to (1) and lets Sonya copy it. Due to Chrono-Lord Deios’s effect, Incindius’s Battlecry and End of Turn effects trigger twice, leading to massive damage.
Prepare for a wild ride—assuming you can survive until then.

### Kris O’ Five’s Bwonsamdi Death Knight
**Deck Highlights:**
– 2x Morbid Swarm
– 2x Chillfallen Baron
– 2x Staff of the Endbringer
– 2x Husk, Eternal Reaper
– 1x Nightmare Lord Xavius
– 2x Talanji of the Graves
– 1x Bwonsamdi
– 1x Carnivorous Cubicle
– 1x Endbringer Umbra
Bwonsamdi is the centerpiece of this deck, continuously returning powerful Undead minions as long as they’re equal or cheaper than him. Keeping Bwonsamdi alive is crucial, and **Memoriam Manifest** helps bring him back repeatedly.
If Bwonsamdi sticks around, **Carnivorous Cube** and **Endbringer Umbra** can trigger more Deathrattles, flooding the board with strong minions rapidly.

### Zeddy’s Spell Demon Hunter
**Deck Highlights:**
– 1x First Portal to Argus
– 2x Illidari Studies
– 2x Broxigar
– 2x Chaos Strike
– 1x Solitude
– 2x Time-Lost Glaive
– 2x The Eternal Hold
Zeddy’s Demon Hunter deck revolves around **Broxigar** and portals to Argus. The strategy is to bring portals online and kill the resulting demons, summoning a 12/12 Charge Broxigar to the board.
This spell-heavy deck uses weapons and spells—and buffs like **Solitude**—to find and enhance minions. The deck culminates in **The Eternal Hold**, which lets players find a high-cost demon for free.

### Ozzie’s Rafaam Warlock
**Deck Highlights:**
– 2x Paltry Flutterwing
– 2x Prize Vendor
– 2x Timelord Nozdormu
– 2x RAFAAM LADDER!!
– 1x Timethief Rafaam
– Various Rafaam minions (Tiny Rafaam, Green Rafaam, Explorer Rafaam, etc.)
The Rafaam Warlock deck carries some inherent risks, as Trump demonstrated with a timely **Dirty Rat** pulling out **Timethief Rafaam** to wreck an OTK attempt.
Despite these downsides, the deck is tons of fun, racing to get its win condition online. Even if the OTK doesn’t land, the individual Rafaam minions are powerful on their own, offering unique effects like Polymorphing the board or duplicating themselves.
Buffs like **Nightmare Lord Xavius** further increase their impact. Don’t knock Rafaam until you try him—he might surprise you!
