Unofficial results show 63.8 percent of California voters approved Proposition 50, a measure concerning congressional redistricting, according to the California Secretary of State’s Office.
As of 4:20 a.m. on November 5, with all 18,399 precincts partially reporting, 63.8 percent of voters supported the measure, while 36.2 percent opposed it. A total of 5,154,529 votes were cast in favor, and 2,927,923 votes were cast against.
Vote-by-mail, provisional, and other ballots will continue to be processed and counted following Election Night. Election results are expected to change throughout the ballot counting and canvass period as additional ballots are tallied.
Please note, these results are considered unofficial until the certification deadline of December 12.
