**D-Von Dudley Announces Retirement After Final Match at TNA’s Bound For Glory**
WWE Hall of Famer D-Von Dudley, one half of the legendary Dudley Boyz tag team, has officially made the decision to retire from in-ring competition. During a recent documentary posted on his YouTube channel, Dudley confirmed that his match at TNA’s biggest annual event, *Bound For Glory*, would be the final chapter of his decorated professional wrestling career.
Reuniting with Bubba Ray Dudley, the two took on longtime rivals The Hardys in what proved to be a fitting farewell. Reflecting on the experience, D-Von shared, *“I felt tremendous. The least of my problems was my back, and that’s what everybody was worried about. My back feels great, my legs feel great. I forgot what it was like to have this type of pain. Could I do it again? I could, but do I want to? No. Like I said before, this is it. I’m walking away.”*
Prior to *Bound For Glory*, Dudley’s last match took place on April 27, 2024, when he teamed with Elijah and Bubba Ray to face Canaan Kristopher, Derek Dillinger, and Wes Barkley at *IWC Superstar Showdown V*. At that time, he was uncertain if he would ever return to the ring. However, the opportunity to reignite his rivalry with Matt and Jeff Hardy ultimately brought him back for one last memorable showdown.
**The Enduring Legacy of The Dudley Boyz**
The Dudley Boyz made their mark as one of the most dominant tag teams in professional wrestling history. Their rise to fame began in ECW before arriving in WWE in 1999 amid considerable fanfare. With legendary feuds against The Hardys and Edge and Christian, they played a crucial role in defining WWE’s tag team division during the iconic *Attitude Era*.
Over the course of their WWE tenure, The Dudley Boyz captured tag team gold nine times, cementing their status as one of the greatest teams of all time. Their success continued when they transitioned to TNA Wrestling in 2005, where they won the NWA World Tag Team Championship. Additionally, Bubba Ray and D-Von became two-time TNA World Tag Team Champions and were the inaugural holders of the title.
In recognition of their incredible career, The Dudley Boyz were inducted into the WWE Hall of Fame in 2018, with Edge and Christian—their former rivals—honored to induct them.
