**Obituary: Cyrus Braxton O’Neal**
Cyrus Braxton O’Neal, a resident of Rio Rancho, peacefully passed away in his sleep on October 21, 2025, at the age of 30.
Born on January 20, 1995, in Albuquerque, New Mexico, Cyrus was the beloved son of Andreanna Palya and Clifford O’Neal. In 2021, he welcomed his beautiful baby girl, Desdemona, into the world. He was deeply devoted to her well-being and took great joy in helping her become a thriving and happy child.
Cyrus was known for his witty sense of humor and contagious laugh. He also possessed a creative and artistic side, with a love for drawing. A passionate hockey fan, he avidly supported the New Jersey Devils.
He will be deeply missed by his daughter, Desdemona; his mother, Andreanna; sisters Mary and Lauren (and her husband Andrew); nana, Carmen; and aunts Kristina (James) and Rachel. Cyrus was preceded in death by his father, Cliff O’Neal; his great-grandparents, Isidro and Emma Roybal; and his grandmother, Loretta O’Neal.
Though Cyrus has passed, his spirit will forever remain in the hearts of all who knew and loved him.
Cremation has taken place. Services will be held at a later date.
