A 40-year-old man from Harnett County, Christopher Lee McNeill, was arrested on November 4 and charged with five offenses, including first-degree burglary, robbery with a dangerous weapon, possession of stolen goods, conspiracy, and assault with a deadly weapon.
McNeill, who resides on the 5700 block of US 421 east of Mamers, was held on a $100,000 bond, which he posted on November 5.
According to an arrest warrant, McNeill allegedly broke into a home on the 200 block of Legacy Lane, west of Nursey Road near Anderson Creek, during the nighttime hours of October 24 while three people were inside. He is accused of stealing approximately $200 worth of items and threatening residents Ricky Duncan and Dawsynn Davidson.
During the incident, McNeill allegedly fired a BB or pellet gun at Duncan, striking him in the torso. He is also said to have wielded a baseball bat and an axe during the confrontation.
In addition to these charges, McNeill faces several other accusations from last year in Harnett County. On December 10, 2024, he was arrested in connection with an incident from August 8, 2024. In that case, McNeill allegedly stole $2,706 worth of power tools and household repair items from the residence of Charles Thomas, located on the 550 block of Peyton Lane, southeast of Seminole.
For the August 2024 case, McNeill was charged with breaking and entering, larceny, possession of stolen goods, and conspiracy. He posted a $30,000 bond in that matter.
McNeill, who has a lengthy arrest record and previously lived on the 4900 block of Buckhorn Road, northeast of Broadway, also has pending charges in Harnett County from August 1 and 4, 2024. These charges include shoplifting, larceny, and possession of stolen goods.
