VILLANOVA, Pa. — Bryce Lindsay’s 25 points led Villanova to a 94-74 victory over Queens University on Saturday.
Lindsay shot 7 of 16 from the field and an impressive 10 of 11 from the free-throw line to help the Wildcats improve to 1-1 on the season. Acaden Lewis contributed 21 points, going 9 of 13 from the floor and adding three steals. Matthew Hodge was highly efficient, making 8 of 10 shots to finish with 18 points. Duke Brennan dominated the boards with 20 rebounds and also scored 17 points.
For the Royals (1-2), Nasir Mann led the way with 21 points. Chris Ashby added 11 points, while Jordan Watford chipped in nine points and four assists.
Villanova held a 51-37 lead at halftime, with Lindsay scoring 17 points in the first half. The Wildcats pulled away early in the second half with an 11-2 run, expanding their lead from 13 points to 22 points en route to the win.
