The shooting death of a 19-year-old man in a Catasauqua house on Saturday has been ruled a homicide, Lehigh County Coroner Daniel A. Buglio confirmed.
The victim, whose name is being withheld to allow his family time to grieve, was pronounced dead at 5:46 p.m. at the residence located on the 200 block of Edward Lane, Buglio said.
An autopsy and radiology tests are scheduled to be performed on Monday. No additional information will be released on Sunday, he added.
The investigation involves multiple agencies, including the coroner’s office, Catasauqua Police, the Lehigh County Homicide Task Force, and the Lehigh County District Attorney’s Office. State Police and North Catasauqua Police also provided assistance, Buglio noted.
