AdHoc Studio is a late success story for a smaller studio in 2025, achieving sales of over 1 million units with its new narrative title, *Dispatch*.
Season 1 of *Dispatch* wraps up this Wednesday, but the game is already the talk of the internet. Players are raving about its diverse characters and memorable moments, making it a standout title in the narrative game genre.
With such a strong performance in its first season, the possibility of a second season is looking increasingly likely. AdHoc Studio co-founder and *Dispatch* co-director Nick Herman recently spoke about the potential for Season 2 during an appearance on the podcast *Friends Per Second*, as reported by GamesRadar.
According to Herman, the response from players has exceeded expectations and is more than enough for the studio to consider continuing the series. He explained, “Just to give you a timeline of events, it was just a little under a week ago that *Dispatch* first released. At launch, AdHoc Studio had no idea what to expect. But this far in, with an Overwhelmingly Positive rating and over 1 million units sold in ten days, the game has fared extraordinarily well.”
Part of the game’s success can be attributed to its blend of classic Telltale-style narrative gameplay with a streamlined experience that doesn’t waste players’ time, a point highlighted by Senior Editor Ozzie Mejia.
With such a promising start, fans of *Dispatch* have plenty to look forward to as the first season concludes and the possibility of a sequel looms on the horizon.
