Flickering Threat and other later-game quests in ARC Raiders can be challenging if you’re not prepared to enter high-threat locations and search for specific items or interactable objects. While these quests might seem daunting at first, they usually don’t take too long once you know exactly what to look for. Here’s a detailed guide to help you complete the Flickering Threat quest with ease.
Step 1: Repair the Generator
To start the Flickering Threat quest, head to the western portion of the Power Generation Complex on Dam Battlegrounds. Your first task is to repair a generator and then turn on the power at a nearby ventilation shaft.
Although the objective sounds straightforward, the Power Generation Complex is a busy area with enemies roaming around, including a Rocketeer and support ARC units. Be cautious as you navigate through.
Begin by going to the westernmost part of the Complex. Enter through the door beneath the upper platform near the stairs. Once inside, go through the door directly across from you, proceed down the hallway, pass one more door, descend some stairs, and then enter the door on your left.
You will now be inside the generator room. Move left past the first generator, then interact with the glowing yellow pipes on the second generator. Note that you must have at least four Wires in your inventory to repair this generator.
Successfully repairing the generator completes the first phase of the quest.
Step 2: Turn On the Power at the Ventilation Shaft
After repairing the generator, return to the surface and locate a nearby broken ventilation shaft. The power switch you need to activate is situated underneath the stairs in this area.
A helpful waypoint to find the ventilation shaft is to head east from the North Complex Elevator extraction point. The shaft itself is a tall building with a broken roof.
Carefully avoid the Rocketeer while making your way to the shaft. Once inside, go down the stairs to find the power switch. Flip the switch to restore power and complete the Flickering Threat quest.

- Make sure you collect at least four Wires before attempting to repair the generator.
