With the Nintendo Switch 2 having been out for a few months, there aren’t many voices we’d like to hear more from than former—and legendary—Nintendo of America president Reggie Fils-Aimé. Recently, Fils-Aimé shared his thoughts on the Switch 2’s launch and how the platform has performed so far, applauding many of the decisions made by Nintendo.
However, there is one aspect that has left Fils-Aimé puzzled: he doesn’t understand why Xbox hasn’t been more aggressive in porting its games to the Switch 2.
Fils-Aimé discussed these views and more during a recent episode of *The Game Business Show* with host Christopher Dring. When asked about the Switch 2’s launch, he shared several insights, but what stood out most was his perspective on what he sees as a lukewarm approach to software support on the new platform.
During the conversation, Dring noted that titles like *Tony Hawk’s Pro Skater 3+4* have made their way to the Switch 2, and *Indiana Jones and the Great Circle* is expected to arrive soon. Despite this, Xbox’s presence on the Switch 2 remains very light.
This is especially surprising given that making games available on the Switch was a key condition imposed by trade authorities to approve Xbox’s acquisition of Activision Blizzard. Fils-Aimé’s comments highlight a curious gap between expectations and reality in terms of Xbox’s software commitment to the Switch 2 platform.
