Stefon Diggs had another strong performance in the Patriots’ win over the Jets on Thursday night, a game that seemingly came on the heels of some joyful news off the field.
According to People Magazine, Diggs and his girlfriend, rapper Cardi B, welcomed a baby boy. Cardi B later confirmed the news in an Instagram post, with a representative telling People Magazine, “Cardi is healthy and happy.”
It remains unclear exactly when Cardi B gave birth, but she announced in September that the couple was expecting a child in the coming months. This marks Cardi B’s fourth child and her first with Diggs. For Diggs, it’s his third child but his first son. He has two daughters named Nova and Charliee.
Earlier in November, Diggs shared his excitement with People Magazine, saying, “It’s a boy. That’s enough for me. I can’t wait to make him do push-ups and sit-ups and run around.”
Diggs and Cardi B have been rumored to be in a relationship since October 2024, following news that surfaced months after Cardi B filed for divorce from rapper Offset. The couple was seen together at a Celtics-Knicks playoff game in May before confirming their relationship publicly on social media in June.
Cardi B made her first appearance at a Patriots game earlier this November. She attended the Week 9 victory over the Falcons at Gillette Stadium and was even spotted sitting with team owner Robert Kraft at one point.
On the field, Diggs wasn’t able to extend his touchdown streak to four games against the Jets, but he was still the Patriots’ leading receiver in the 27-14 win. He recorded nine receptions for 105 yards—the second-most yards he has had in a game this season.
After a slow start to the season, Diggs has arguably emerged as one of the NFL’s best receivers. He currently ranks eighth in receptions (59) and 12th in receiving yards (659), with three touchdowns.
Diggs will celebrate his 32nd birthday later this month, but he has already received a couple of meaningful gifts: the Patriots’ eight-game winning streak and now the arrival of his newborn son.
