Donald Trump’s character on Saturday Night Live recently made a memorable appearance by crashing a press conference and selling Epstein files for $800 each.
James Austin Johnson’s portrayal of Trump, who last week stood indifferent as a man collapsed in the Oval Office—a widely mocked moment—returned this week with a new stunt. He interrupted a press briefing held by a character playing White House Press Secretary Karoline Leavitt.
During the interruption, Johnson’s Trump stated, “I’m hiding almost nothing. I am hiding almost nothing, just enough to make it extremely suspicious,” in response to a reporter’s question. He then claimed he “barely knew the guy,” referencing thousands of photos of them together, “dancing and grinding our teeth together at various parties.”
Addressing an email that described Trump as the “dog who hasn’t barked,” the character quipped, “I’m more of a cub, or possibly an otter.”
In a final satirical twist, Johnson’s Trump announced he would be releasing all of the Epstein files—but at the price of $800 per confidential document.
This comedic take continues to highlight and lampoon the real-life controversies surrounding Trump in a uniquely humorous way on SNL.
