Dragon Quest 7 Reimagined is just a month away, but fans don’t have to wait that long to get a taste of the adventure. An early demo of the game is launching in just a couple of days, allowing players to experience a slice of the reimagined classic before its full release.
Square Enix has announced that the Dragon Quest 7 Reimagined demo will be available on all platforms starting January 7, 2026. This includes PS5, Xbox Series X|S, the upcoming Switch 2, Switch, and Steam. Best of all, the demo is completely free to play for everyone — even those who haven’t yet purchased the full game.
Players who dive into the demo will also be able to carry their progress over to the full version once it launches, making it easier to jump right back into the world of Dragon Quest 7 when the complete game arrives.
