Prime Video has announced that Ryan Hurst will play Kratos in the upcoming *God of War* television series. Pre-production is currently underway in Vancouver.
The casting announcement was made in a press release by Prime Video today. Ryan Hurst is an accomplished actor whose career spans back to the 1990s. He is perhaps best known for his role as Harry “Opie” Winston in the hit series *Sons of Anarchy*.
In addition to his on-screen roles, *God of War* fans will recognize Hurst as the voice of Thor in the game *God of War Ragnarok*.
The *God of War* show is a co-production between Sony Pictures Television and Amazon MGM Studios, in association with PlayStation Productions and Tall Ship Productions. Ronald D. Moore is attached to the project as showrunner, executive producer, and writer.
