MANILA, Philippines — The Securities and Exchange Commission (SEC) has launched Southeast Asia’s first Green Equity Guidelines, paving the way for Philippine companies with sustainable initiatives to attract more investors.
The corporate watchdog on Thursday released SEC Memorandum Circular No. 13, which provides eligibility guidelines for companies wishing to carry the Philippine Green Equity label.
Under these guidelines, companies that demonstrate strong commitments to environmental sustainability can now gain recognition and potentially access greater investment opportunities.
