**Woman Stabbed by Husband’s Friends Near Pardesipura Police Station in Indore**
Indore (Madhya Pradesh): A woman returning from the police station was stabbed by her husband’s friends in the Pardesipura police station area on Saturday night.
The woman, identified as Poonam, a resident of Firoz Gandhi Nagar, claimed that the accused live in her neighborhood and attacked her without any reason. According to Poonam’s complaint, she was returning home from the police station when, near the Malwa Mill crematorium, her husband’s friends Adarsh Tiwari and Raj Verma suddenly came from behind and pushed her.
The accused allegedly abused her, and when she objected, they attacked her with a knife, causing injuries.
Pardesipura police station in-charge RD Kanwa stated that the accused told the police that the woman had first passed comments about them, which led to an argument.
Poonam had visited the police station earlier regarding a different case she filed against her mother-in-law over domestic abuse. Her husband, Dilip Soni, who was a listed goon in the area, had committed suicide earlier.
The police have registered a case against the accused under sections 118(1), 296, 351(3), and 3(5) of the BNS, and further investigation is ongoing.
This incident raises serious questions about public safety in the city.
