South Africa Women secured a comfortable six-wicket victory over New Zealand in their recent ICC Women’s World Cup 2025 match held at the Holkar Cricket Stadium in Indore. Brits played a blazing innings, scoring 101 runs off 98 balls, while Luus remained unbeaten on 83 from 114 deliveries. Their partnership guided South Africa to a six-wicket victory, leaving the New Zealand bowlers unable to respond.
#2 Kapp & van Niekerk – 128* Runs vs Pakistan, 2013
Marizanne Kapp and Dane van Niekerk delivered a memorable performance against Pakistan in the 2013 Women’s World Cup match at Cuttack, India. Batting first on a challenging pitch, South Africa found themselves struggling at 79/5 when van Niekerk joined Kapp at the crease.
The duo then put together an unbeaten 128-run partnership for the sixth wicket, helping South Africa post a competitive total of 207/5. Kapp remained not out on 102 runs off 150 balls while van Niekerk contributed an unbeaten 55 off 77 deliveries. The team eventually won the match by a commanding 126 runs.
#3 Lee & Wolvaardt – 128 Runs vs England, 2017
In the 2017 Women’s World Cup game against England at Bristol, South Africa fought hard while chasing a huge target of 374. Openers Lizelle Lee and Laura Wolvaardt collected a solid 128-run partnership for the opening wicket, providing a perfect start.
Lee was dismissed for 72 runs off 77 balls, ending the partnership. Wolvaardt continued, scoring 67 runs from 103 balls. Despite their efforts, South Africa ultimately fell short, losing the match by 68 runs.
