The Secret Service announced that it is collaborating with the FBI and local law enforcement to investigate items discovered during advance security preparations for former President Trump’s weekend trip to Florida.
According to the agency’s statement, no individuals were present at the time the items were found. The statement did not provide additional details about the nature of the items.
Earlier reports from Fox News mentioned the discovery of what they described as a “hunting stand,” which was uncovered on Thursday during the security sweep.
Authorities continue to investigate as they work to ensure the safety and security of the upcoming visit.
