Energy Secretary Chris Wright stated on Sunday that the weapons testing ordered by President Trump last week will not involve nuclear explosions.
“I think the tests we’re talking about right now are system tests. These are not nuclear explosions. These are what we call noncritical explosions,” Wright explained during an interview on Fox News’s “The Sunday Briefing.”
He emphasized that the upcoming tests are focused on system functionality and do not include any nuclear detonations.
