**Indore: Sub-Inspector Allegedly Abuses and Assaults Dial-112 Driver in Public View**
Indore (Madhya Pradesh): A sub-inspector posted at Malharganj police station has allegedly abused and assaulted a Dial-112 driver in full public view, right outside the police station. The incident has raised serious concerns, prompting an investigation led by ACP Malharganj.
The victim, Narendra Chauhan, who drives the Dial-112 FRV vehicle, lodged a complaint with Additional DCP (Zone-1) Alok Kumar Sharma. According to Narendra, the incident occurred around 10 pm on Wednesday when he was waiting outside the police station to pick up ASI Pradeep Kumar Gautam.
At that moment, SI Brajesh Sharma called Narendra and asked for a ride to his home. Narendra reportedly declined the request, explaining that he needed to reach a duty point with ASI Gautam. Enraged by the refusal, SI Sharma allegedly began verbally abusing and physically assaulting Narendra right outside the police station.
Chauhan further claimed that Sharma dragged him inside the police station and continued to beat him in front of other staff members. Additionally, Narendra alleged that the sub-inspector threatened to falsely implicate him in a case.
The entire altercation was reportedly caught on the police station’s CCTV cameras, providing crucial evidence of the incident. Senior officials have assured Narendra Chauhan that strict action will be taken against the SI if found guilty.
In response, Additional DCP Alok Kumar Sharma has directed ACP Malharganj Vivek Singh Chauhan to conduct a thorough investigation and submit a detailed report within seven days.
The unfolding probe aims to bring clarity and justice to this troubling incident, highlighting the importance of accountability within the police force.
