EDMONTON, Alberta (AP) — Jack Roslovic scored 56 seconds into overtime as the Edmonton Oilers came from behind to secure a 5-4 victory over the Columbus Blue Jackets on Monday night.
Jake Walman, who also scored two goals, delivered a long stretch pass to Roslovic, who finished the play with his fourth goal of the season on a breakaway. Connor McDavid contributed two goals for the Oilers, while Stuart Skinner made 15 saves.
The win snapped Edmonton’s three-game losing streak and marked a strong rebound following Saturday’s 9-1 loss to the Colorado Avalanche.
For the Blue Jackets, Ivan Provorov, Sean Monahan, Boone Jenner, and Adam Fantilli each found the back of the net. Jet Greaves made 19 saves in net for Columbus, who have now lost four straight games.
Playing in his 146th career regular-season game, Adam Fantilli recorded an assist to reach the 90-point milestone. He became the fourth Blue Jackets player to achieve this in fewer than 150 games since his debut with the franchise. The others to reach this milestone are Pierre-Luc Dubois (128 GP), Nikolay Zherdev (131), and Rick Nash (141).
In other team news, Oilers forward Mattias Janmark made his season debut after recovering from a preseason injury. However, Ryan Nugent-Hopkins is expected to miss about a week due to an undisclosed injury.
